Mississippi Destination Imagination Inc. offers programs for students at every stage of their educational journey. Each level builds on creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving skills while remaining engaging and age-appropriate.

Elementary School (K–6)

Focus:
Introduction to creativity, teamwork, and basic problem solving.
What Students Do:
  • Work in small teams to solve simple challenges
  • Use imagination through storytelling and performance
  • Build basic structures and solutions with provided materials
  • Participate in guided brainstorming activities
What They Learn:
  • Confidence in sharing ideas
  • How to work with others

Middle School (Junior High)

Focus:
Developing stronger problem-solving skills and teamwork.
What Students Do:
  • Solve more structured and multi-step challenges
  • Create presentations that include technical and creative elements
  • Practice quick thinking through instant challenges
  • Begin managing time and resources
What They Learn:
  • Critical thinking
  • Collaboration and communication
  • How to turn ideas into complete solutions

High School

Focus:
Advanced problem solving, leadership, and competition.
What Students Do:
  • Work on complex, open-ended challenges
  • Design detailed solutions with technical and creative components
  • Take leadership roles within their teams
  • Compete at higher levels (regional, state, global)
What They Learn:
  • Leadership and responsibility
  • Project planning and execution
  • Presentation and performance skills

College Level

Focus:
Leadership, mentoring, and advanced participation.
What Students Do:
  • Compete at an advanced level
  • Coach or assist younger teams
  • Support tournaments and events
What They Learn:
  • Mentorship and leadership
  • Real-world communication skills
  • Team and event management

STEAM Opportunities

Focus:
Hands-on learning in technology and engineering.
What Students Do:
  • Participate in robotics and stuctural engineering competitions
  • Build and test designs
  • Solve technical challenges
What They Learn:
  • Basic engineering concepts
  • Problem-solving through technology
  • Logical and analytical thinking
Team

Team Experience

All students participate in team-based learning:
